Trauma-Informed Practices: Bridging Knowledge to Action

This training provides an opportunity to examine and evaluate your current practices when responding to young people experiencing trauma. Learn about and address behaviors resulting from unmet needs, then problem-solve and plan interventions using grade-level-specific student and schoolwide scenarios. Scenario responses will explore and apply a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) model for behavior. Resilience is not a result of hard times; it’s a result of the various supports available during challenging times. Let us be those proven supports and make the shift from understanding trauma, to responding in ways that build resilient young people, ready to thrive socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
