$60 per participant from districts in the five-county service area

Prerequisites: None

CEUs: Teacher CEU; Administrator CEU

Learning objectives:

  • Deepen educators' understanding of their own frames of reference and potential bias.

  • Deepen educators' understanding of the impact of bias on expectations for and relationships with students, families, and communities.

  • Engage in self reflection, discussion, and tools for change.

Description:

Gain knowledge around being a culturally competent educator while meeting educator licensure requirements. Deepen your understanding of people and culture, engage in deep reflection, and learn hands-on tools for change. This course is approved by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).

About the leader:

Rachel Logan and Lisa Worden are education solutions consultants at Sourcewell. Logan facilitates equity support for schools in central Minnesota and is a trained facilitator for the National SEED Project. Worden is also a trained facilitator for the National SEED Project and is a certified trainer for Youth Mental Health First Aid.
