Description:
This workshop on cultural competency will cover several topics, including frames of reference, implicit bias, impact, and more. The training is state approved by the Minnesota licensing board (PELSB), and teachers can receive approved clock hours for their cultural competency license hours.
About the leader:
Sourcewell consultants Rachel Logan and Lisa Worden will lead this training.
Logan is an equity and inclusion consultant for Sourcewell and is a nationally trained Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity facilitator. Worden is an education consultant for Sourcewell specializing in social and emotional learning (SEL) and trauma-informed care and is also a nationally trained Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity facilitator and certified Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer.
Together they have over 40 years of educational experience and are passionate about helping educators understand the content and support youth and adults in school settings.
