$40 per participant from organizations in Sourcewell's five-county service area and the Initiative Foundation's 14-county service area;

$75 per participant from outside the service area;

Prerequisites: None

Learning objectives:

  • Learn the top six strategic and operational responsibilities of an executive director or senior leader.

  • Learn about leading and managing people - strategy, systems, and communication.

  • Discover where your current skills and interests are as they relate to leadership roles.

Description:

Are you wanting to move up or forward in your current organization or take on a different role in a new organization? This training is for staff who want to learn about leading and managing people. We will discuss what the responsibilities of senior leadership are as it relates to board relations, finance/budget, community relations, and fundraising/grants. You will also discover where your current skills and interests are as they relate to leadership roles. Are you ready to take the next step in your nonprofit career? Join us for this training to explore the possibilities.

About the leader:

Julie Pelzl has a diverse background in strategic human resources, as an executive leader, and as a consultant in various nonprofit and for-profit industries. With over 25 years of experience, she is passionate about driving successful business results through highly positive employee engagement and strong leadership. Julie holds a master's and a bachelor's degree in business administration.
