2025-2026 Career Pathways Cohort

This cohort is for districts who are participating in the Career Consultant program. District identified career committees will attend to engage in professional learning, collaboration, and program planning. Development of career pathways is based on the nationally recognized Redefining Ready metrics and professional learning will include outside expertise and exemplars to guide district teams in design. Cohort sessions may take place at Sourcewell or another location dependent on content of the session.

2026-2027 Beyond New Teacher Academy

Beyond NTA is designed to support teachers in years 2, 3, and beyond. The sessions will be structured around standards, procedures, and fostering collaboration with other regional teachers. There will be 4 professional development days at Sourcewell and 3 individual coaching days in their classroom. Content will be presented, collaboratively discussed and applied to lesson planning for use in their classrooms. Attendees will have the opportunity to take Catalyst Whole Group Classroom Leadership Day 1 and attend Catalyst Live.

The Beyond Special Education New Teacher Academy is designed to enhance the fundamental classroom practices of novice special education teachers. The Beyond Special Education New Teacher Academy includes four professional development sessions focused on classroom practices. Session topics include High Leverage Practices, Catalyst Foundations, and classroom management strategies. In addition to professional development, support throughout the year includes four individual in-classroom coaching sessions.

Add+Vantage MR (AVMR), Course 1

Add+VantageMR® (AVMR), Course 1 includes dynamic assessments, organizational, and teaching tools in number words and numerals, structuring numbers, and addition and subtraction strategies. Course 1 is most appropriate for kindergarten through elementary classroom, special education teachers, and interventionists who work with children in K-8.

At the core of strong classroom management is how the adults manage themselves. Connection is Key: Building and Strengthening Relationships

Educators know that relationships are key to student belonging and learning. This training highlights the importance of relationships, provides practices that promote relationship building, and addresses barriers that can interfere with creating connections. Mathematics: Introduction to 2022 MN Math Standards

Here is your chance to experience an overview of the past three years in the MDE suggested implementation timeline for our 2022 Minnesota math standards.  Join us for a deeper dive into changes from the 2007 standards and what this looks like in your schools. We will choose one or two anchor standards and break the corresponding benchmarks per grade level.


This one-day workshop builds on the Mathematics: 2022 MN Math Standards Transition Year 1 to Year 2 workshop offered on June 26, 2026.


MDE's suggested implementation timeline says next school year is a transition year.  School year 2027-28 is full implementation with MCA-IV to be taken spring of 2028.

Reality and Recharge - A Book Club for You

Join our inaugural book club over the summer. Education professionals often don’t find time to read for themselves. This offering takes this reality into account, and we seek a community of readers looking to refresh over the summer. We have selected, Heart!, by Timothy Kanold, a conversational text that invites reflection and academic optimism.  The group will meet in June, July, and August to discuss the book and its personal and professional impact. Registration is required by May 15 to ensure timely delivery of the book.

The Power of Words: K–5 Vocabulary & Academic Language

This professional development training focuses on equipping K–5 educators with research-based strategies to intentionally build students’ vocabulary and academic language across content areas. Participants will explore techniques such as explicit vocabulary instruction, interactive read-alouds, and structured student discourse to incorporate throughout unit plans and daily lessons. This session will also highlight scaffolds that support multilingual learners and students with diverse language needs. Teachers will leave with practical tools and resources to foster rich language development and improve both comprehension and academic achievement.
