Who should apply
Fusion Point Task Group members serve two-year terms and represent a cross-sector mix of nonprofit, local government, and public safety leaders from across our five-county service area. The task group will include:
- Members representing Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, and Wadena counties, and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe
- Current or emerging leaders from nonprofit organizations, local governments, and public safety entities
- A diverse mix of perspectives, experiences, and community roles to reflect the realities of Greater Minnesota
- Individuals committed to cross-sector collaboration and strengthening community capacity in Region 5
- Individuals interested in exploring emerging trends, sharing insights, and contributing to regional strategies
Member responsibilities
As part of the Fusion Point Task Group, members will help shape conversations, ideas, and collaboration across Region 5. Members will:
- Participate in two full-day Fusion Point summits each year, beginning in 2026
- Serve as a feedback forum for emerging ideas and regional strategies
- Engage in discussions that explore trends, challenges, and opportunities across sectors
- Contribute to member recognition initiatives by assisting with nomination reviews using an established scoring rubric and a consistent, equity-centered lens
- Help strengthen connections and collaboration between nonprofits, local governments, and public safety organizations
- Members may also have opportunities to pilot new ideas or approaches and contribute to ongoing efforts that support innovation and community capacity in the region
