Explore the cultural heritage of Native American communities in Minnesota, focusing on land, the significance of place, language, and other cultural traditions.

Examine the contemporary contributions of Minnesota's Native American communities, highlighting their impact on society, education, arts, and policy.
Description:
As of 2023, Minnesota state legislation requires educators to include learning on the cultural heritage and contemporary contributions of American Indians, with particular emphasis on Minnesota Tribal Nations, as a part of their licensure renewal process. This course is designed to provide in-depth learning on the outlined areas, as well as offer additional learning opportunities for the future.
