Description:
Educators know that relationships are key to student belonging and learning. This training highlights the importance of relationships, provides practices that promote relationship building, and addresses barriers that can interfere with creating connections. Explore the stages of the Relationship Framework and utilize strategies to build trust, establish connection, then grow and maintain relationships at each stage, including repair. Participants will also practice approaching difficult conversations and conflicts through connection.
About the leader:
Sourcewell education consultant Lisa Worden will lead this training.
Her work centers around social and emotional learning, trauma-informed care, and mental health and wellness. She also facilitates cultural competency training and is a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer. Lisa’s background includes classroom teacher (grades 3-6), gifted education, and post-secondary instruction.
