Description:
Per the Minnesota Department of Education suggested timeline, we are moving from the exploration stage to two years of transition with our 2022 Minnesota math standards. Join us for a deeper dive into changes from the 2007 standards and what this looks like in your schools. We will choose one or two anchor standards and break down the corresponding benchmarks per grade level.
About the leader:
Mike Jordahl and Chris Castillero will lead this training.
Jordahl is an education consultant in his eighth year at Sourcewell. His professional passion is focused on math instruction and learning as he is a facilitator for Sourcewell's math network, AVMR network, and several math cohorts and PLCs in our region's schools. In addition, Mike serves on the board for MCTM as a regional director and is active in the Minnesota Math Leaders PLC and steering committee. Castillero has excelled in various roles: teacher, instructional coach, assessment specialist, district math curriculum coordinator, regional math director, and state mathematics lead. He strives to inspire students with innovative teaching strategies, create engaging learning environments, and foster a collaborative community among educators to adapt to the evolving educational landscape.
