Description:
Learn with us as we explore the 2022 Minnesota data science anchor standard with Jessica Strom to see how we can incorporate data science into your Building Thinking Classroom. Grade 6 teachers, choose which session might be the best fit for you. The BTC content will be similar in both sessions. This session will include more examples for middle and high school classrooms.
About the leader:
Jessica Strom will lead this training.
Jessica Strom has been teaching math at the Win-E-Mac school for 23 years. She has been researching and using the Building Thinking Classroom practices for over 8 years, while also sharing the practices with other teachers through PD days, conferences, workshops and webinars. Jessica has had the opportunity to work with Peter Liljedahl. She served on the MCTM board as a Regional Director from 2017 to 2020, as high school vice principal from 2020 to 2023 and was just voted as the next MCTM president. She received the 2021 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
