Description:
This is a specialized training on both practical and legal considerations of Minnesota’s Open Meeting Law and Data Practices requirements. Participants will gain an understanding of these complicated laws, gain an understanding of updated regulations, learn how to access appropriate resources, and leave with practical knowledge for working within the laws’ parameters.
About the leader:
Experienced attorney Abbie Thurmes will lead this training.
Abbie advises public entities and private employers on labor, employment, and school law matters, including human resources, workplace investigations, leave compliance, and employee relations. Known for her practical approach, she was recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2022–2025) and earned her law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
