These sessions are funded through Collaborative Minnesota Partnerships to Advance Student Success, COMPASS, the statewide system for continuous improvement created through a collaboration between the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and the Minnesota Service Cooperatives.

Description:
Join your Regional COMPASS Climate and Culture Lead in monthly one hour sessions focused on supporting school climate improvement. Each session will include information on one area of school climate work with time to network, share common challenges related to school climate, support the needs of the group attending, and make requests for future Pop Up PD sessions. This collaborative event aims to strengthen support and improve school environments across our community.
Our first session in February we'll share about the COMPASS system, our COMPASS School Climate and Culture team, and how our School Climate and Culture Regional Leads can support your district.

About the leader:
Megan Perry, COMPASS Climate & Culture Lead for Resource Training & Solutions and Sourcewell.
Perry is a licensed social worker who has worked in education since 2014, focusing on mental wellness and resiliency with both students and adults. She has experience impacting systems through service cooperatives, school social work, school day treatment, youth residential treatment, as well as vocational programming for adults with disabilities. Designing and facilitating learning experiences that seek to deepen students and educators’ understanding of social and emotional life skills allows her to blend her love of systems-thinking with human-centered endeavors and solutions.
