About the leader:

Sourcewell education consultants Rachel Johnson and Evan Handrick will lead this training. 

Johnson has a decade of teaching under her belt, She has worn various hats—from a dedicated 3rd-grade teacher to a Tech Integration Specialist and Intervention Educator. For the past five years at Sourcewell, she has been at the forefront of educational technology, spending four of those years as a Tech Mobile Education Consultant. Currently, she serves as the Tech Mobile Lead, driving innovation in the intersection of technology and education. Armed with a Masters in Educational Leadership and recent completion of her ED. S degree, Johnson holds both Principal and Superintendent's licenses. Her passion for the evolving landscape of education led her to delve into the realm of Artificial Intelligence. Over the last six months, Johnson has been a compelling voice on AI's implications for education. She's not only explored the potential but has actively guided educators on how to integrate AI as a powerful tool in their planning and preparation. 

Handrick is an experienced educator and innovator with over 13 years of expertise in both teaching and leadership roles. With a background that spans teaching middle school science, leading an English as a Second Language (ESL) department, and directing engineering and innovation programs, he has a proven track record of driving creativity and excellence in the classroom. For the past 8 years, Handrick served as the Director of Engineering and Innovation at a parochial school, where they pioneered a comprehensive K-12 STEAM program.  Since July, he has worked as a STEMbound consultant with Sourcewell, helping schools and organizations advance their STEM initiatives.
