Learning objectives:

  • Discuss how to screen callers during an attack.

  • Learn how to interact with callers who are in danger.

  • Discuss how to handle off-duty officers and concealed weapons permit holders during an attack.

Description:

Join the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to discuss the vital role that telecommunications personnel play during these critical active violence incidents. 

About the leader:

Captain Wayne Freeman will lead this training.

Wayne Freeman has been in law enforcement for 31 years, is a Captain with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, supervises the State Active Shooter Training Program, and is the South Carolina Active Shooter and CCTA Training Coordinator. He has trained more than 200,000 students in active shooter response and is the author of the South Carolina active shooter training manual.
