Description:
Minnesota statute requires Cultural Competency training for educators to renew their teaching license with PELSB (Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board). Sourcewell has developed a PELSB-approved training that meets all components of PELSB's definition.
About the leader:
Rachel Logan and Lisa Worden will lead this training.
Rachel and Lisa are Sourcewell consultants with over 40 years of educational experience combined. Rachel leads equity and inclusion work, and Lisa leads social emotional learning and trauma-informed care. Both are nationally certified SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) facilitators. Lisa is also a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer. Together they have been delivering Cultural Competency trainings to school districts for the past four years.
