Description:
Minnesota statute requires Cultural Competency training for educators to renew their teaching license with PELSB (Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board). Sourcewell has developed an updated (2022) PELSB-approved training that meets all components of PELSB's definition.
About the leader:
Sourcewell consultants Rachel Logan and Lisa Worden will lead this training. Logan is an equity and inclusion consultant for Sourcewell and is a nationally trained Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity facilitator. Worden is an education consultant for Sourcewell specializing in social and emotional learning (SEL) and trauma-informed care and is also a nationally trained Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity facilitator and certified Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer. Together they have over 40 years of educational experience and are passionate about helping educators understand the content and support youth and adults in school settings.
